Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. BCSD also uses localStorage, sessionStorage, and PWA caches. Together they let the website and app remember you, keep you signed in, and load faster. This Cookie Policy explains what we use on bcsd.co.in and the BCSD PWA. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

These are required for the Platform to work. They are not used to sell you ads.

• bcsd_locale — remembers English, Hindi, Gujarati, or Marathi
• bcsd-color-mode — remembers light or dark theme
• bcsd_access_token, bcsd_refresh_token, bcsd_auth — keep you signed in on this device
• bcsd_device_id — helps us recognise the device for security and session management
• bcsd_learning and related keys — save lesson progress and dismissed nudges on the device
• Test and lecture drafts — so an unfinished attempt or description is not lost if you refresh
• bcsd_device_location (session) — stores optional city/region if you allowed location during sign-in

If you install BCSD as an app, the service worker may cache logos, scripts, styles, and pages so the home-screen app opens quickly. Push notification permission is optional and can be turned off in the browser or OS and in Notification settings. Sounds for alerts play only if you enable the sound channel.

Some features are provided by other companies. Using them may allow those companies to set cookies or read identifiers:

• Google Sign-In — to authenticate with a Google account
• Facebook Login — to authenticate with a Facebook account (Facebook SDK may use cookies)
• Razorpay Checkout — to complete UPI, card, net-banking, or wallet payments
• Google Fonts — to load Inter and Raleway typefaces

Those companies process data under their own policies. We do not control their cookies. If you block them, social login or checkout may not work.

You can:

• Change language and theme from the header — this updates essential cookies/storage
• Sign out to clear session tokens on this device
• Revoke location, camera/microphone (for instructor video), and notification permissions in the browser
• Clear site data in your browser or installed PWA settings
• Use browser controls to block third-party cookies (checkout or social login may then fail)

Because most BCSD cookies are essential, there is no separate “optional analytics” toggle at this time. If we add non-essential analytics or advertising cookies later, we will update this page and, where required, ask for consent.
